The main objective purpose of DASTA (which stands for Employment and Career Structure of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete) is the unity, re-evolution and the rationalism of the structures of T.E.I. Crete with main concern its connection with the productive bodies and the employment promotion services, as well as the educational bodies of post-graduate courses of studies and vocational training programs in addition to competent authorities for the promotion of innovative enterprising.

Therefore, the role of DASTA is to formulate the targets and plan the Institute's strategy for its connection with employment market, as well as to arrange for the programming and the accomplishment of a viable operation and promotion of the Institute's structures and Policies in that area. Furthermore, DASTA proposes towards the competent bodies of the said Institute and materialization of the relevant decisions, always in cooperation with the remaining involved structures and services of each Institute, such as the Research Council and Committee. The following three (3) acts will be placed under the coordination of DASTA T.E.I. of Crete, from which each one shall have its own administrative management/organization and operation, according to the Time Schedule of the Institute and the prevailing legislation:

The "Career Office of T.E.I. Crete" was established during the 1st Community Support Framework (1997) and ever since continues unceasingly its function within the frameworks of EPEAEK 2nd & 3rd Community Support Framework and presently within the frameworks of Business Program “Education and Life-long Learning” which is co-financed by the European Union-European Society Fund (EKT) and the Greek Public.
